Janai & Dean Planck
The Cookville Campground is not your typical campground; offering convenience, truly welcoming hosts, and tons of nice extras that make a big difference at the end of a long day of riding.
Pitch your tent on one of their beautiful meadow sites, or rent a fully outfitted tent and sleep on a comfortable memory foam mattress.
Common areas at the campground have patio tables and chairs for eating your meals or relaxing with friends. A large common fire ring provides a great spot to relax after dinner and enjoy the starry sky above you. They even provide the wood and supplies!
A common sheltered outdoor kitchen space provides cooking utensils, full-size BBQ grill, a large camp stove, and a clean, dry place for preparing your meals. Morning coffee, real cream, and a complimentary breakfast item really sweetens the deal.
Your hosts, Janai and Dean take great pride in keeping everything clean and fresh. Both are dedicated to making your stay a positive, enjoyable experience that will be a trip highlight. Enjoy Janai’s wonderful paintings, placed throughout the grounds. Dean is also a rider, who enjoys dirt biking, brewing beer and occasionally joining guests at the fire.
Amenities include hot showers, snacks, bathrooms with flush toilets, fresh drinking water, camp chairs, coffee and tea, a fire ring, and yard games. The hosts have grocery items for sale.
A dedicated NEBDR area has a message board for leaving messages for those behind them on the route or get intel on riding challenges ahead, as well as a lost and found and First Aid Kit. Hosts have even purchased a bike cover and kickstand coasters for use by overnight rider guests.
Sites start at $45 for pitch-your-own-tent sites.
