Motorcycle Vermont continued strong growth during our second year of operation, attracting over 17,000 visits between April and October 2010 - a 35% increase over 2009.

Pages per visit and time on site compared favorably with national publications. Readers spent an average of 2 minutes and 38 seconds on site per visit between April and October - slightly higher than readers of Cycleworld.com (2:33) during the same period. Motorcycle-Vermont readers averaged 3 pages per visit this season, peaking at 3.5 pages per visit during June.

Search engine placement was excellent. For the thirteen search terms I track, Motorcycle-Vermont was in the top 5 positions for 11 terms. The site on the first page of results for Google, Yahoo and MSN for all terms. Sites ranking higher than Motorcycle-Vermont.com were consistently sites that have been in existence longer. Length of operation influences search engine placement.

Our social network has also grown. Facebook Fans grew to 362 in October - a 70% increase over the fan base from January 2010. Twitter followers now exceed 565.

Over seventy percent of visitors are first time visitors, meaning readers are still learning about the site.
