The AJ Bosworth Fund Raiser on January 30th raised $3,135, exceeding the $3,000 goal set by organizer VT Bike Night. AJ, a frequent attendee of VT Bike Night, was stuck with Guillain-Barre Syndrome earlier this year.

Guillain-Barre Syndrome is a disease that causes the immune system to attack the nervous system and can cause paralysis or death.

Bosworth had just started a new job when contracted the disease and his health insurance did not cover him. The fund raiser will help Bosworth pay medical and household bills. Twenty percent of the money raised over $3,000 will go to research on Guillain-Barre Syndrome.
