The Curve Cowboy Reunion

The Curve Cowboy Reunion is coming to the Killington Grand Resort in Killington VT,  August 31 through September 3rd. The Reunion brings together a group of mostly BMW K Bike riders who don’t mind a soak in the spa, room service and a nice bed after a hard day on the road. If you ride all day in luxury, why suffer at night?

This year is the 11th reunion for the group, which began as a gathering of riders who met through the K1200LT Internet forum. Initially, the group set out to personalize relationships that previously were only online. After meeting, they decided to repeat the event and it has grown into an annual reunion.

The Reunion activities include a vendor area featuring BMW Luxury Touring products, a Tuesday night cookout, technical sessions on servicing your bike, an Italian buffet dinner on Thursday, a silent auction and a finale banquet.

The Cowboys selected Killington Grand Resort as their destination, placing the resort in elegant company. The Cowboys previous reunions have been held in places like the Chateau Elan Winery and Resort in Atlanta GA, Beaver Run Resort Hotel in Breckenridge Colorado, the Park Vista Resort Hotel in Gatlinburg TN and the Jackson Lake Lodge in Grand Teton National Park, WY.

The group has fun and enjoys their luxury accommodations, but also gives back. Each year, the Reunion donates proceeds from the event to a charity near the host community. This year’s charity is Emerge Family Advocates of White River Junction. Emerge Family Advocates works to improve relationships between children and their noncustodial parents (see their mission statement here).

Since forming, the Reunion has raised over $140,000 for charity.

The cost to attend the event is $139, which includes technical seminars, opening reception, the Final Reunion Banquet and other events. To register, go to their registration page. For answers to questions, see their FAQ page.
